Charlotte Weiss

FdA Costume for Theatre, Film and Television

During her time at BOVTS Charlotte has specifically enjoyed Construction and Tailoring. She was the Costume supervisor on Hedda which was live-streamed from the Bristol Old Vic mainstage during the second national lockdown. She has been on work placements in workrooms with Sara Fay and Sallyann Dicksee and wants to pursue work in a work room environment. Charlotte hopes to gain further experience in Menswear and Pattern Cutting.

One of my favourite parts about BOVTS is that it feels ‘homegrown’. From the set to the costume, lighting, acting and sound, every single aspect of a theatre production or film is down to the students. The location of Clifton is so serene and the School being so small everyone knows each other and it feels so personal and special. Violet Morris, BA Professional Acting Student
