Our Musical Theatre Bootcamp – Level 1 and Level 2  is designed for young performers aged who love to sing, move, and tell stories. Across four exciting days, participants will explore scenes, songs, and choreography inspired by much-loved West End and Broadway musicals.
Led by professional tutors from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, children will develop confidence, creativity, and teamwork as they rehearse and perform. The week culminates in a mini showcase for family and friends, where our young stars can share what they’ve created.

Course Outline
Day 1 – Let’s Begin!
Explore rhythm, pitch, and storytelling through music and build the confidence and team-working through movement and begin learning your dance routine
Day 2 – Building Our Story
Continue to build on the fundamentals explored on day one.
Combine musicality and movement to bring your numbers to life
Day 3 – Putting It All TogetherÂ
Begin staging your final performance. Rehearse transitions and polish your performance pieces
Day 4 – Showtime!
Morning:Dress Rehearsal
Make any last tweaks and practice, practice, practice!
Afternoon: Performance & Celebration
Sharing performance for family and friends. Take a bow and celebrate your hard work. Certificates, cheers, and a final group photo to remember your week!

Is this course for me?
You don’t need any previous experience to partake in this course. We will ensure you have all the foundations and techniques you need to safely and effectively perform an epic musical theatre showcase.

Short Course Cancellation Policy
We will make all reasonable efforts to deliver a short course as outlined on our site and in any brochure or published material. However, we reserve the right to cancel a short course in case of events outside our control or if the course fails to meet a minimum number of participants. In the event that we cancel a course, we will inform participants who have booked a place via email at least 7 days prior to the start date. We will also provide a full refund of the course fee paid. Bristol Old Vic Theatre School cannot be held responsible for any expenses you incur due to such a cancellation.
