Biography

Karl is an actor and former lawyer. He trained initially at the Royal Academy of Music and later at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (2013–15). Since graduating, he has worked across theatre, television and film.

Before retraining as an actor, Karl qualified as a solicitor with Linklaters, specialising in international capital markets, derivatives and structured products. He subsequently worked in-house, managing major transactions, regulatory change and cross-border projects for leading financial institutions.

His stage work includes Fiddler on the Roof (Barbican and UK tour), Witness for the Prosecution (West End) and King Charles III (UK tour and Sydney), with screen credits for Apple TV, Warner Bros, Canal+ and TNT.

One of my favourite parts about BOVTS is that it feels ‘homegrown’. From the set to the costume, lighting, acting and sound, every single aspect of a theatre production or film is down to the students. The location of Clifton is so serene and the School being so small everyone knows each other and it feels so personal and special. Violet Morris, BA Professional Acting Student
