Biography

Bobby is a Bristol-based Designer and Performance Design MA graduate from BOVTS. Specialising in the integration of set and costume with creative technologies, his dynamic practice is driven by the integral role light plays in visual dramaturgy.

Prior to his training, he graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Film & Theatre Studies, where he also completed an Artist in Residency with the University of Bristol Theatre Collection.

Bobby has also worked extensively as a freelance designer and photographer, collaborating with independent theatre companies across the South West.

Previous BOVTS credits include: Set Designer for Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Station, Set & Costume Designer for Ballyturk at the Weston Studio, Bristol Old Vic.

Students developing and growing in confidence during their time here, seeing their work reaching professional standards in approach and execution; a student who intends to be a stage manager producing a wonderful sound design; a first year student making a lovely recording of a song for their recording project; tracking the careers of former students and seeing them be successful; being able to find a job opportunity for a recent graduate.
