This practical, hands-on course explores the diverse and imaginative world of prop making and sculpture. Across 4 intensive days, you’ll gain an insight into professional prop-making processes used in theatre, film, and art production industries, while developing your own creative ideas into finished pieces.
Under the guidance of experienced tutors, you’ll learn a range of techniques including sculpture, mould making, casting, mask making, fake food creation, scenic painting, sewing, upholstery, and basic woodwork. The course is designed to be flexible, allowing you to focus on specific skills or materials that interest you most.
You’ll leave with 1–3 original props to take home, ideal for building a portfolio, developing specialist making skills, or simply exploring prop making as a new creative hobby.

We will make all reasonable efforts to deliver a short course as outlined on our site and in any brochure or published material. However, we reserve the right to cancel a short course in case of events outside our control or if the course fails to meet a minimum number of participants. In the event that we cancel a course, we will inform participants who have booked a place via email at least 7 days prior to the start date. We will also provide a full refund of the course fee paid.
