We are absolutely thrilled to congratulate Erin Doherty on her Golden Globe win for Best Supporting Actress for her extraordinary performance in Netflix’s critically acclaimed series Adolescence. This is a moment of immense pride for all of us at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
Erin is a class of 2015 acting graduate whose talent continues to shine on the global stage. Erin’s portrayal of Briony Ariston, a clinical psychologist navigating one of the most intense and emotional performances on television, captivated audiences and critics alike. Her work helped Adolescence sweep multiple honours at the 2026 Golden Globes, marking a triumphant night for the cast and creative team.
From the moment she stepped through our doors in Bristol, Erin showed the kind of passion, commitment, and fearless artistry that defines the very best of what our acting training nurtures. Her journey from student to Golden Globe winner stands as an inspiring testament to where dedicated craft and bold creativity can lead.
