Benjamin Thapa

Theatre Design MA Student


Biography

Originally trained in graphic design and visual communication, Benjamin has designed projects spanning dance, theatre, film and fashion, and has developed a multidisciplinary approach to creative thinking and storytelling. Previous credits include costume design for; To Provide All The People (Bristol Old Vic); Samuel’s Trousers (Eclipse Theatre Revolution Mix); The Changing Room (NT Connections / Sheffield Theatres), set, prop and AV design for Her Naked Skin (Circomedia, Bristol) and production design for Blink (The Wardrobe Theatre, Bristol); Signals (Pleasance Courtyard, Edinburgh) and Trust in Care (Derby Theatre). Benjamin has assisted designer Ti Green on Cyrano (Bristol Old Vic) and Bartholomew Fair (Sam Wanamaker Playhouse) as well as Kevin Jenkins on What We Wished For (The Crucible Theare). He also has a range of experience in teaching, engagement and facilitating workshops with young people.
