Biography

Elsa is specialising in stage management during her final year at BOVTS. She is particularly interested on working in producing theatre and shows which incorporate songs and ensemble movement.

She is undertaking a work placement at The Almeida Theatre, London, assisting the stage management team on Alma Mater. Previous credits include Deputy Stage Manager on A Very Expensive Poison (Circomedia); Stage Manager on Jekyll and Hyde (Tobacco Factory Theatres); Deputy Stage Manager on Tiny Dynamite (The Wardrobe); Assistant Stage Manager on Great Expectations (West Country Tour); Assistant Stage Manager on Vanity Fair (West Country Tour); Deputy Stage Manager Picnic at Hanging Rock (The Wardrobe).

It was always stressed that the contacts you make during your training are incredibly important, and your classmates are likely to end up being on set alongside you in the future. After working with a director of photography on one of the School’s short films, I was invited to work on a project with him outside of Bristol - proving that the professionals we meet via the School, may one day give us a call to action!
