Shanice Dacres

FdA Costume Student


Biography

Shanice has spent her two years focusing on learning as many new skills as possible and has an interest in musical theatre costume.  She has been a Costume Assistant on Pride & Prejudice and Henry V.

Shanice has worked on two different show makes for Romeo & Juliet (Redgrave theatre) and Radium Girls (The Weston studio).  She has been a Costume Supervisor for Emilia (Circomedia).  She has also worked on the reopening of Battersea Power Station ceremony as a Costume Supervisor .

She is interested in working more in theatres, and hopes to find more amazing opportunities

It was always stressed that the contacts you make during your training are incredibly important, and your classmates are likely to end up being on set alongside you in the future. After working with a director of photography on one of the School’s short films, I was invited to work on a project with him outside of Bristol - proving that the professionals we meet via the School, may one day give us a call to action!
