Biography
Alfie is a set and costume designer based between Bristol and Glasgow. He is currently completing an MA in Performance Design at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, having graduated with First Class Honours in Product Design from the University of Dundee.
His work explores the tactile and playful potential of materials to create dynamic spaces that connect performers and audiences. Passionate about sustainability, he embraces its creative challenges as a catalyst for fresh and unexpected theatrical ideas.
BOVTS credits include set design for Thebans (The Station), and production design for The Effect (Bristol Old Vic).
One of my favourite parts about BOVTS is that it feels ‘homegrown’. From the set to the costume, lighting, acting and sound, every single aspect of a theatre production or film is down to the students. The location of Clifton is so serene and the School being so small everyone knows each other and it feels so personal and special.
