Andrea Kilgour

MA Performance Design

Biography

Andrea Kilgour is a Glasgow-based artist specialising in set and costume design. She creates sculptural frameworks that shape the narratives within them. With a background in fashion, textiles, and millinery, and a degree in Knitwear Design from the London College of Fashion, her work is rooted in texture and material exploration.

Her evolving practice is informed by travel, collaboration, and interdisciplinary making. Drawing on her experience in clothing and interior design production, as well as immersive performance for events, she transforms imagined concepts into tactile forms, with a strong focus on recycling and reinvention. She is particularly interested in designing for movement-led performance, embracing transformation as both a process and an outcome.
