Biography

Dan is a playwright and theatre maker from Nottingham, who grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. He graduated with a BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre Arts from the University of Birmingham in 2018.

His work often explores the psychological impact of global events on individuals and the ethics of living in a globalised world. He was the Resident Theatre practitioner at Leighton Park School for 2018-2019, where he made work with students and facilitated workshops. He has also been a script reader for The Space Arts Centre [Isle of Dogs] for their ScriptSpace new writing program since 2019. Other previous writing credits include Sunburn (Plays Rough London; Old Red Lion Theatre) and devised play 7 Ways to Calm the F*** Down (Writer-in-the-Room, 3Bugs Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe 2018).

Currently, Dan is developing his play Orbital Decay with Bristol Old Vic Theatre School as well as working alongside director Laura Hensley on his play What Remains.
