Elvira Sperring

Elvira began sewing as a young girl, making clothes for porcelain dolls out of fabric scraps and bedsheets.

She is now a costume maker with a deep passion for historic costume. She is particularly interested in specialist skills and historically accurate techniques like corsetry and millinery. Outside of life at BOVTS, she spends her free time engaging in research on Victorian social history.
