Biography
Jess loves technically challenging and dynamic designs, which she explores in her own creative practice as a performance designer. Before studying at BOVTS, Jess worked as a Drama Assistant, designing and building sets for Reigate Grammar School and achieved a first-class BSc (Hons) in Product Design from Loughborough University.
Her credits include the set design for A Very Expensive Poison (Circomedia) and the set and costume design for Hymns (Wardrobe Theatre).
Productions
It was always stressed that the contacts you make during your training are incredibly important, and your classmates are likely to end up being on set alongside you in the future. After working with a director of photography on one of the School’s short films, I was invited to work on a project with him outside of Bristol - proving that the professionals we meet via the School, may one day give us a call to action!
