Biography

Phoebe Kemp is an emerging director based in Bristol.  As a disabled queer director Phoebe is interested in work that tells untold stories, sensory theatre (aimed at those who may not be able to access mainstream theatre) and reinterpreting classic works for a modern audience.

During their Masters at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School they assistant directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream (dir. Paul Chesterton), directed Dorian (wri. Phoebe Éclair-Powell and Owen Horsely) and Wish you Were Here (wri. Hannah Hewer).

The School is in a beautiful part of Bristol, overlooking a huge park called the Downs. We sometimes take advantage of our close proximity to the Downs during the summer term, practising fight and dance routines, or voice or singing classes! Dan Hall, BA Professional Acting student
