Biography

Yuxuan is excited by fun, provocative, inventive, and international theatre experiences. As a result, he is constantly searching for interesting, touching, and imaginative stories from around the world to stage creatively. As a director, he devises original work and stages existing plays, incorporating text, music, movement, and puppetry.

From 2018 to 2021, he trained on the BA World Performance course at East 15 Acting School. Whilst at BOVTS, Yuxuan worked as the assistant director and musical director on Sammy and the Sea Morgans directed by Liz Felton (Theatre in Education Tour), and as an assistant director on Loam directed by Marcus Romer (Bristol Old Vic). His recent directing credits include: Hamlet (2022, The Wardrobe Theatre), Fallen Leaves (2021, Clifftown Theatre).
