Jane Lapotaire – CBE

Jane was awarded a CBE in the Kings Birthday Honours list in 2025.

Jane was born in Ipswich and has won several awards during her illustrious career on stage and screen.

Tony and Olivier award winning and BAFTA nominated Jane trained at BOVTS from 1961 to 1963.

She has gone on to have an illustrious acting career spanning fifty years, as well as writing several memoirs. Most recently, Jane has appeared in Rebecca (2020), Downton Abbey and The Crown.

Jane continues to be a huge supporter of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
