An outstanding showcase of creativity

Join us for an exhibition of outstanding work, launching the careers of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School’s designers, costume makers and theatre technicians.

Each year we celebrate the creativity, ingenuity and artisanship of the students reaching the end of their training on the MA Performance Design, BA/FdA Production Arts and BA/FdA Costume for Theatre, Film and TV programmes. Enjoy an immersive exhibition at Sparks Bristol, and marvel at the colours, textures and artistic prowess which form an essential part of the Theatre School’s work.

This year’s event will be held at the Sparks Bristol from 2-5 July.

Open to the general public (free event, no booking required):

Exhibiting Students

MA Performance Design

Our Performance Design students spend the year developing personal projects, contributing to school productions, and collaborating with directing students to realise the theatre designs for our summer shows. Working across their chosen pathways, set, costume, lighting, projection, or prop design. They bring imaginative concepts to life through innovative and accomplished design work.

FdA/BA (Hons) Costume for Theatre, TV & Film

Our Costume students work across a range of productions throughout their time at the school, alongside developing their own personal projects. They build a broad and versatile skill set, from foundational techniques to advanced specialisms, while gaining experience in costume supervision and cross-departmental collaboration, reflecting the professional practices of a producing company.

Production Arts (Stage & Screen) BA (Hons) / FdA

Production Arts students engage with a wide spectrum of roles across both stage and screen. This exhibition highlights the work of our prop-making students, who have contributed to professionally staged school productions and collaborated closely with design students to realise creative visions.
