Overview

Dorian is a thrilling stage adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray intertwined with snippets from author Oscar Wilde’s own life, resulting in a deliciously dark and dynamic celebration of chaotic queer joy. A fusion of Victorian and contemporary flavours, join our trio of all-knowing narrators as they take you through Oscar and Dorian’s antics in this luxurious, witty and moving three-hander.

Dorian is the first collaboration between Phoebe Eclair-Powell (Bruntwood Prize 2019) and Owen Horsley (Associate Director of the RSC).

This play is showing as a double bill with Wasted. Find out more about the BOVTS Summer Festival at the Wardrobe Theatre here.

As soon as I visited the School, I fell in love with the place. Perhaps it sounds a bit irrational, but sometimes you get a vibe - and you just know! BOVTS gave me all the tools I needed to prepare for a career as an actor. Sahir Mehta, MA Professional Acting, 2018
