With the summer nights beginning to fade and autumn fast approaching, we’re looking forward to welcoming our Full-Time students through the doors once more. We’re all going to be heading straight in to a jam-packed season of productions, with students across the School involved on and off the stage.
There is plenty for our audiences and supporters to be excited about, with two main-house productions landing in November, plus two School Tours which also have a public performance families can enjoy together.
These productions are the pinnacle of our full-time training and a clear demonstration of the collaboration and professionalism that the School instills in all our students. So what are you waiting for, get your tickets booked and come and join us for one, two or all of our Autumn Productions. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll be hard-pressed to find professional standard theatre as sensibly priced as these tickets too, starting from as little as £5 (+fees):
ðŸŽÂ Government Inspector @ Tobacco Factory Theatres 🛒
📆 8-15 November 2025.
📢 “It’s not good, gentlemen, that’s why I’ve gathered you all here. An inspector is coming. A government inspector!”Â
🖋 Adapted by David Harrower / Written by Nikolai Gogol / Directed by John Young / Designed by Charlotte Murphy.
The news that a government inspector is due to arrive in a small Russian town sends its bureaucrats into a panicked frenzy. When a scheming stranger rolls into town, a simple case of mistaken identity exposes the hypocrisy and corruption at the heart of the community in Gogol’s biting satire. Originally published in 1836, this caricature of politics and moral bankruptcy still rings true for today’s audiences – proving that some subjects will always be ripe for an inspection…
ðŸŽÂ A Christmas Carol @ Redgrave Theatre 🛒
📆 24-29 November 2025

🖋 Written by Patrick Barlow / Adapted from the story by Charles Dickens / Directed by Emma Earle / Designed by Zoe Squire.
Bah, humbugs! Bristol Old Vic Theatre School return to the Redgrave Theatre with a theatrical festive feast. It wouldn’t be Christmas without a few carols, would it? Mr Scrooge is sorely lacking in festive spirit. Hell-bent on bringing his colleagues, family and friends down with him, he spends his days being unpleasant and stingy. One bitter night, he is visited by four ghosts who take him on a journey through past, present and future. Will Scrooge change his ways by sunrise? Patrick Barlow’s high-spirited stage adaptation of A Christmas Carol breathes new life into the familiar tale and its well-known characters. Stocking-stuffed with plenty of festive twinkle, ghostly antics and Dickensian humour, this is the perfect pre-Christmas treat for the whole family.
