Being so close to Whiteladies Road, staff and students often explore the area. Last week, our Charity CEO Tom Beasley popped into a charity shop, and discovered an original copy of the cast recording of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Production of Salad Days, written by Julian Slade and Dorothy Reynolds. The play became synonymous with the Theatre School itself, and it was a wonderful surprise to find a copy so close to the School. Tom, of course, purchased the copy, and it is now back at Downside Road.
We look forward to giving the record a spin, and perhaps it’s due for a listening party at our Downside Summer Party on June 27th to celebrate 70 years of the School being on Downside Road.
If you are a former student of BOVTS looking to reconnect and share your memories of the School, please consider signing up for our alumni mailing list by contacting the team.
