It’s a hat-trick. Three Graduating BA Actors Team Up In Dear England National Tour

A hat-trick of our 2025 BA Professional Acting graduates are in rehearsals for the national tour of the NT’s Olivier award winning – Dear England – a play which has been described as “The Decade’s biggest theatrical triumph” by the Telegraph.

Oscar Gough, Ebube Chukwuma and Jass Beki (seen in the photo left to right in this order.) will be visiting some of the UK’s biggest theatres during their seven month tour of this new play, which hit the stage for the first time early in 2025 at the National Theatre to much acclaim.

It is so incredibly rewarding to see three hugely talented actors get such a brilliant call-up together, when just a couple of short months ago they were finishing off their final projects here at the School and bidding a fond farewell to the corridors of Downside Road.

Ebube had this to say about scoring his place in such a major production:
“I’m so blessed and grateful for my debut to not only be with the National theatre, but with my good mates!!! Feels surreal. Working alongside Jass and Oscar feels natural and is so much fun. The chemistry we all have on set is perfect!”

And Jass added: “We’re making a dream our reality and making history. The grind don’t stop.”

This play is a massive talking point in the industry right now, and it is testament to the talent and dedication that these young actors have shown throughout their training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School that they are moving on to work on big league projects like Dear England.

Everyone here at the School wishes them the best of luck, we’ll all be cheering on from the side lines and looking forward to seeing the trio in action during the UK-wide tour later this year.

Congratulations Oscar, Ebube and Jass! Well deserved.
