Acting Tutor


Biography

Ben trained as a Actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School graduating in 2006.
Originally from Blaenafon, he has since worked extensively across Theatre, Film,
TV, Radio and Voice-Over.

His first role was a Royal Court Theatre/West End production; he then joined the RSC
in 2007 and the Royal National Theatre in 2008. Theatre work has taken him to most
regional venues in the UK and international playhouses in Australia, NZ, Europe, Asia
and the USA.

On screen Ben has worked on many high profile productions for the BBC, HBO, ITV,
Netflix & Amazon Prime. He’s appeared in feature films, recorded several
audiobooks, voice-overs and audioguides for venues such as Buckingham Palace.
Ben previously taught at ActUpNorth in Yorkshire and became Core Tutor for The
Actor’s Lounge in Bristol in 2024.

Students developing and growing in confidence during their time here, seeing their work reaching professional standards in approach and execution; a student who intends to be a stage manager producing a wonderful sound design; a first year student making a lovely recording of a song for their recording project; tracking the careers of former students and seeing them be successful; being able to find a job opportunity for a recent graduate.
