Ava Harker

BA Costume

Biography

Ava taught herself to sew as a teenager, making her own underwear and stretch wear. She has honed these skills at BOVTS to produce refined and detailed costumes, specialising in tailoring during her third year.

Whilst in training Ava discovered a love for breakdown and its ability to tell the backstory of a costume. She is excited to gain more professional experience in all aspects of the industry. Recent placements and employment include Shakespeare’s Globe, House of the Dragon (HBO), The Dreamlands (BBC One), and Bristol Costume Services.
