Cara is a director and facilitator from the South West, creating politically engaged, contemporary theatre that is bold and imaginative. Her work is grounded in collaborative storytelling driven by emotional truth, centring underrepresented voices and interrogating power, agency, and resistance through dynamic, character driven narratives. She creates rehearsal spaces rooted in care, curiosity, and play, where performers are supported to take creative risks.
Drawn to both adaptation and new writing, Cara often reimagines text through a contemporary lens, uncovering fresh perspectives within familiar and original material.
She trained at the Bristol School of Acting and is a first class graduate of the University of Exeter. She is currently developing new writing to be performed at the Cockpit Theatre as part of the Camden Fringe Festival this August.
