Cara is a director from the South West creating contemporary theatre through collaborative, character-driven narratives. Her work focuses on underrepresented voices and creates rehearsal spaces rooted in care, curiosity and play. Drawn to both new writing and adaptation, she reimagines text through a politically engaged lens to uncover fresh perspectives.
She trained at the Bristol School of Acting and graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Exeter. She is currently developing new writing to be performed at the Cockpit Theatre as part of Camden Fringe this August.
Director credits include Island Town (Bristol Old Vic), Vino Veritas (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Carrie: The Musical (Exeter Northcott Barnfield), and Woyzeck (Roborough Studios).
Assistant Director: The Taming of the Shrew (Kay House Theatre), Bakkhai (Bristol School of Acting / Tobacco Factory Theatres), Macbeth / Twelfth Night (The Station)
