Patrick Wilson

MA Drama Directing

Biography

Patrick is currently on the Directing course here at BOVTS and is directing Shook (Wardrobe Theatre) for the Summer Season, as well as taking two shows to the Edinburgh Fringe this year.

He’s recently finished two years as a Director in Residence and Young Company Director in Cambridgeshire, directing productions including Medea and Burying Your Brother in the Pavement (both Hayward Theatre), and has directed acclaimed productions for Fringe festivals and venues across the country.  He’s interested in classical work and adaptations, site specific theatre, and comedy, and is looking to continue creating his own work alongside assisting.

One of my favourite parts about BOVTS is that it feels ‘homegrown’. From the set to the costume, lighting, acting and sound, every single aspect of a theatre production or film is down to the students. The location of Clifton is so serene and the School being so small everyone knows each other and it feels so personal and special. Violet Morris, BA Professional Acting Student
