Rosa Nasr-Butler is known for her striking and evocative style. Her designs for performance are playful, textural and detailed. In her design process, she works predominantly with paints, textiles and collage which lends itself to bold line work, vivid colours and lively imaginings of stories.
Rosa approaches projects with curiosity and seeks to dig deeper into worlds and narratives, producing design with meaning and direction.
Rosa has always been an artist, but it was during her Fine Art degree at CSAD that she developed a strong visual language which continues to evolve. Throughout her practice, she has experimented with a variety of mediums, such as puppetry, paint, sculpture and photography.
