Biography

Rafael is a Theatre and Film Director who seeks to make work that suspends audiences in disbelief and challenges the understanding of the reality they are a part of. He is a recent graduate of the University of Exeter, receiving a BA (Hons) in English Literature and will be graduating from BOVTS with an MA in Drama Directing later this year.

Credits Include

As Director: Exposure: A Ghost Story (Kay House Theatre), Alice (Exeter Northcott Theatre), Little Women (Exeter Barnfield Theatre), Two Sinners Walk Among Us (MakeTank Theatre)

As Assistant Director: Platform (The Other Palace), Thebans (The Station), The Last Five Years (Kay House Theatre)

One of my favourite parts about BOVTS is that it feels ‘homegrown’. From the set to the costume, lighting, acting and sound, every single aspect of a theatre production or film is down to the students. The location of Clifton is so serene and the School being so small everyone knows each other and it feels so personal and special. Violet Morris, BA Professional Acting Student
